Garuda flies new links in South-east Asia

GARUDA Indonesia is reinstating its direct services from Bali and Surabaya to Hong Kong, and adding capacity on other South-east Asian flights.

The airline will fly four times a week between Hong Kong and Bali and thrice-weekly from Hong Kong to Surabaya, from June 1. It also increased its Jakarta-Singapore flights from five-daily to seven on March 29 and has since doubled its daily Kuala Lumpur-Jakarta service.

Garuda will fly new Boeing 737-800 next-generation aircraft on all new routes and plans to grow international departures by more than 300 per cent to 1,222 weekly by 2014.
