Bali Arts Festival June 12 – July 10, 2010
The 32nd Bali Arts Festival (PKB) returns June 12 – July 10, 2010.
Scheduled to be opened by Indonesia's President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, this year's festival will feature leading performance groups from across Bali, 20 provinces of the Republic and 7 foreign nations.
The seven foreign countries appearing at PKB 2010 are the U.S., Japan, Korea, India, Sweden, Belgium and Canada.
"Sudarmala," signifying a deep contemplative understanding of the conscience, has been adopted as this year's theme.
With the entire festival costing an estimated Rp. 5 billion (US$543,000), the performances on each day of the month-long event will take place at the Denpasar Art Center.
